11 down and 4 to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the delay but the internet has been out for a couple days so this is the first chance I've had to write.

Friday we were down for chemo and her counts were good, so chemo was a go ahead. It was an extremely busy day but we were in for blood counts and in to see the doctor and we had the go ahead for chemo all within an hour and fifteen minutes but it took about 2 1/2 hours for the chemo to come from the pharmacy to the IV room. Thankfully everything went well and we are slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

She has been having pain in her knee but they don't feel it's anything to be concerned about as it's only when she's walking up the stairs, not all the time, so we'll keep an eye on it. She's looking good and feeling pretty great as well.

Tuesday, July 17th

We headed down for chemo yesterday and unfortunately her counts were too low, which was a huge surprise to us because she looked great and she was in such a great mood all weekend, and she was quite disappointed because it just pushes chemo along and of course we have to be careful not to take her out to populated areas, she was looking forward to going to Wonderland tomorrow but unfortunately that's out. Well we'll head back down on Friday and hope for the best. Of course silly me I was thinking she would have a problem this summer because the weather is nice etc. She has a headache today and I gave her a codeine and no sooner she had that she through up, but her headache does seem a bit better, so we'll hope for the best!

I'll let you know how we make out Friday.

Sad couple of days!

Not much to report Meghan has been doing well in the last week, she had a headache but it didn't last so we're happy! We are back down on Monday for chemo. Jamie has been off to camp this week so this week will be about Meghan & I. Unfortunately we have had 2 funerals this week of 2 very special people Mr. Wilson who has been a neighbour and a dear friend of the family forever (that's not really his name but he use to call Josh, Dennis the Menace) and Judy our cousin who has been courageously fighting colan cancer for 2 years. We will never forget the two of you and the bravery and strength you both had!

Wednesday, July 4th

Yesterday we were down for blood work and it was crazy busy down there but thankfully they told us to just have blood taken and they would call us with the results so we didn't have to stay. We picked up Meghan's report card on the way home and she got in the 90's for 3 subjects and 85 for the other one so we are very proud of the progress she's made this year considering all she's been through, she's harding working and determined, way to go Meghan! Her blood results came back great so her counts are good. She wasn't feeling well this weekend, just the chemo, but she's better now!

Thanks again to all of you!

Happy Canada Day!

Meghan has been feeling good up until Friday, she started having back pain and she's been quiet, but other than that, things have been good and we're back down on Tuesday for blood work. I'm hoping she got a good night sleep last night because that always helps when your back is sore, because than you know it hasn't kept you awake all night. Anyhow I just thought I'd let you know how the week has been and write next week after we've been down to the hospital on Tuesday.

Have a great long weekend!
