She's home :)

Meghan just came home and she had an okay time, she really wanted to come home when she was there but they wouldn't let her. I think it got a bit better later on in the week and she said it was better than she thought it would be, I am thrilled that she's home, I really missed her. Her blood counts were good and she has one more week before she heads back to school. I'm back to work on Monday and it's hard to believe it's been almost a year, wow! She heads back down to Sick Kids on Friday, Sept. 7th for chemo and hopefully it will be a go ahead!

3 more to go!

Well Meghan had her chemo on Friday and they were pretty quick on trying to get us out of there as we were heading up north to see Joe & Jamie. She's been feeling pretty good and she is off to Camp Oochigeas (a cancer camp) today until next Saturday. She was having a very hard time leaving and it wasn't easy for me either, this is the first time we've been away from each other since before her diagnosis, except for a few hours here and there :*( I'm sure we'll both survive and I hope she has a blast, otherwise she'll never let me forget it for talking her into going. She's not down at the hospital this week because she's away and the next week she doesn't have to go, so we aren't back down at Sick Kids until Friday, Sept. 7th for her 13th round of chemo. I will let you know next week how she made out at Camp.

NO CHEMO :*(

Unfortunately when we went down to the hospital Meghan's counts were too low for chemo today, we were going to go on holidays this week for a few days but we'll have to come back to Sick Kids for chemo on Friday, unfortunately that's just the way it is. You can't make any real plans. She's been doing well lately and looking great, I was very surprised that her counts were low. Jamie, Meghan & I got offered a beautiful cottage in Wasaga Beach for a couple days so we spent a few days there and here is a picture of the 3 of us when the sun was going down, what a great time we had, riding the waves, shopping and just relaxing! I will let you know at the end of the week how we made out, hopefully we'll get the 12th chemo done!

It's August

I thought I better write so nobody thought that something was going on because I haven't written. Meghan is scheduled for chemo this Friday, August 10th. The girls and I are going to a cottage in Wasaga for a few days before chemo, to hopefully get some rest on the beach and some quality time together. I will write on Friday and let you know if we've had chemo or not. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
